They just have Protection 1 Iron Helmets and Power 1 Bows...not that OP IMO. As well as that, they only have a max of 33.75% Chance on Hard & Max Regional Difficulty.

    Like: Pretty much everything.
Dislike: Half-Dislike Beetroots. I feel as if they should be a little better seeing as they're so rare, and a planned then pocket item. Sorta Dislike shields as they are, more variety (Iron, Gold, Diamond) would be nice. Removal of "Super Secret Settings" R.I.P. Shader Fun. Gapple Nerfs & Ender Pearl Cooldown.

Actually, the sword still more powerful than the axe, it does more damage per second.

AI is not working correctly for now, but imagine if one of those things appear all of a sudden when you are looking for animals or trees, i am talking about those kinds of situations where you are just not expecting something like that.
Also i agree with you on the beet-root seeds thing, for some kind of endgame item it is pretty pointless

Beetroots aren't endgame? what made you come to that conclusion?

They spawn naturally in villages now, and can easily be harvested and made into the soups.

They have other ways of appearing, and don't appear much in End Cities anyways.

Ahh, but the axe has a longer cooldown.

I do think that it is still way too OP though

On the surface, they may appear to be quite OP, but this is where the cooldown really comes into play. Diamond Swords (and swords in general) have a much shorter cooldown period, and have a DPS of 11.2. Axes, however, have a DPS of 9. In a drawn out battle (assuming the DPS is at max) the sword user would win.

    Also, End Cities are awesome.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about 1.9.

The new combat system will make PvP a bit more fair for newer players, but for us PvP veterans, it will be hard to get used to. Pre 1.9 and 1.9 PvP are drastically different, so I don't know if I'm going to be switching between the two. However, this brought in custom attack speeds, so I'm expecting a lot of new PvE adventure maps. This new combat system will probably make 1.8/1.9 crossplay impossible (like 1.7 and 1.8, which is what Wynncraft uses).

New OP af skeleton horse riders? With the new Skeleton strafing mechanic, they're just way too hard to hit. I think they might need a nerf, but then again, this update is far from finished.

Expanded End? Holy crap, new blocks, new builds. <3
Also I see the new Expanded End to be a pain to traverse.

Lingering potions? Pretty cool concept if you're in a room and need to flush out a group of people easily. Gas warfare anyone?

Shields? Finally, counters are possible. They make PvP a bit more interesting.

New arrow types? Very interesting, but I think the Arrow of Healing is useless since it doesn't heal much because it does some damage too. I think the effect still works on players on the same team, though.

New potion effects? The Glowing/Levitation effects could spark some new minigames and adventure maps.

Respawnable Ender Dragon? INFINITE ENDER DRAGON EGGS- no

I really like everything, exept for the golden apple debuff (they were useless anyway, why debuff them?!) and the useless beetroots.

I dislike the fact that the combat change abandons people with low skill, low FPS and high ping. It also encourages teaming.

People with low skill have trouble fighting already. "Let's make your weapons and armour weaker in PvE to fix that."
People with low FPS have trouble aiming attacks or performing actions smoothly. Let's make every attack you miss make you wait until you can attack again. "Serves you right for having a bad computer!"
People with high ping have trouble being on time with things like shooting projectiles, placing things and being knocked around. Let's give everyone the ability to bring up shield in battle to stop them doing damage because they can't time attacks reliably. "What? You don't have an axe? You should've brought one. Don't you know how to use tactics?"
We thought that people unfairly grouping together and bashing single targets wasn't effective enough, let's make sure that 2 or more players always attack faster then a single player. Always.

I also dislike the returned collision system.

Animals didn't have enough free will during the time since we removed collision. Now they can tell the player what to do by pushing them around and if you don't like it, I hope you have access to /scoreboard.
The invisibility potion was far too underpowered too. Let's allow invisible trolls to shove people off cliffs. Servers with no PvP were too civil anyway!
But if you don't like being pushed around, you can turn it off! But we thought this would be overpowered so we needed to balance it. If you do turn off collisions, not only can you not get pushed around, but you can't push mobs around either! Now you will never have to worry about pushing something out of the way while you're building, because you can't! Very balanced.

Let's play a game: Spot all 7 pieces of sarcasm.

As a guy who does A LOT, and I mean, A LOT of PVP, I don't like this update.

If you Attack in 1.9, you have to wait for the cooldown. While the cooldown is happening, hitting would be uselles. So now teams can just hit you in turns! So if one person of the team is hitting you, the attack gets a cooldown. Now, while the cooldown is happening, another person will hit you!

Great work Mojang! Making teams even more annoying.

Golden apples? HA! More like pathetic apples! Heal you half of what it used to!? Well, I guess I'm not gonna play UHC anymore...

People say that now you have to time your moves right. Just like the fishing rod! AND THEY REMOVED IT FROM PVP!

Armor!? Why not just decrees the protection given by 20%, so mobs will kill you much much more easily. Oh, and also, why insted of giving a nerf to the mobs, make them much more overpowered!? I mean, now in none PVP survival worlds, an animal could just push you from cliff/into a pit of lava?

But I don't hate all the update, just the PVP features! And that comes from me (a guy who does tons of PVP).

What I like is the notch apple nerf. I still think they nerfed it too much, but it was a good idea. Why? Do you know OP PVP? OP factions? So the notch apples are used a lot in those games, and PVP with a notch apple isn't a real PVP in my opinion. Only the guy with more notch apples is the winner. No metter now good at PVP are you, you won't win against a notch apple.

I also like the new additions. More blocks to build with, more stuff to do? Oh Yeah!

I also have a suggestion that I think some people would like: hardend clay slabs and stairs. (Of someone else have thought about that, I'm sorry I didn't know).

So,1.9 is a very nice update. But not that PVP part!

Troll's opinion of golden apples is that they are useless, which tells you that he goes YOLO in PvP servers. That makes your little argument about him invalid.

He could've played UHC without the use of golden apples. Again, he goes YOLO.
